Custom Archival Framing
Toronto Art Restoration Inc. has a selection of over 1,000 mouldings from Italy, Spain, France, North America and in-house production ranging from classical water-guild and gold leaf to wood and contemporary hand-finished mouldings.
During a framing consultation, Toronto Art Restoration Inc. specialists work with you to create a framing design based on your aesthetic preferences and the conservation needs of your artwork. Our technicians are experts at framing paintings (on canvas or board) works on paper (prints, photographs, documents), and excel at innovative framing constructions to house memorabilia, flat or three-dimensional objects.
We use only museum standard archival acid-free materials in all our custom framing to suit the needs of each piece. In addition, we provide UV filtered glass or plexiglass to protect against long term fading. The use of non-archival materials during framing is one of the main reasons for unnecessary deterioration of many art pieces.
